Level 2 Teaching Assistants

We have a number of different Level 2 Teaching Assistant roles, but all are based in class providing support for students.  Although you may have a home class, you can be expected to work flexibly across the school and support a range of needs.

Level 2 - 15 hrs per week, term-time plus five training days

Hours: 11:00am – 2:00pm

This is a great starting point for those considering working in a school or returning to work from a career break.  This post offers flexibility to work around family life or further study, whilst maintaining other benefits. Additional hours on a casual basis are available.

Training will be given to increase your skills and knowledge and this will be predominantly carried out on training days when students are not in school.

Level 2 - 27.25 hrs per week, term-time plus five training days

Hours: 8:45am – 3:15pm,with a 15 minute and a 30 minute break

This post offers flexibility to work around family life or further study.

Level 2 - 32.5 hrs per week, term-time plus three training days

Hours: 8:45 am – 3:45pm/5:00pm – alternate Mondays

            8:45 am – 4:30pm – Tuesday

            8:45 am – 3:45pm – Wednesday – Friday

with a 15 minute and a 30 minute break

This post has additional hours to enable you to participate in after school training, development and class meetings. This enhances your ability to work with a range of pupils and supports progression to level 3 and 4 posts.
