Welcome to Robins Class!
Robins Class is based at our Fields Site on Galfrid Road and provides a small, nurturing and inclusive environment for learners in EYFS and KS1, who are beginning to follow a more semi-formal learning pathway.
At this early stage of their Castle journey, we focus on creating strong foundations for future learning and development. Our values – Be Kind, Be Confident and Be Creative – are woven into each day as learners build relationships, develop their communication, explore their environment and grow in confidence and independence.
Learning is personalised around each learner’s strengths, interests, developmental needs and EHCP outcomes. Through carefully chosen termly themes, play, sensory exploration and meaningful experiences, we encourage curiosity, engagement and a love of learning. Our golden threads of English, Maths and PSHE begin here, embedded naturally within communication, play, routines and everyday experiences.
We celebrate the small steps that lead to big achievements, supporting learners to make choices, express themselves, connect with others and develop early independence. These important building blocks provide the foundations for Preparation for Adulthood and for each learner’s continued journey through Castle.
Above all, we want every child in Robins to feel safe, valued, understood and that they belong, giving them the confidence to explore, learn and flourish.
