Our school is a warm and welcoming place. We strive to provide our pupils with a bespoke and therapeutic experience utilising our excellent staff and superb facilities. The school has over 250 pupils with special educational needs ranging from 4 to 19 years of age, with around 150 staff; teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, caretakers and administrators.
At Castle School it's not just the students who learn and grow, our workforce is constantly evolving. We pride ourselves on harnessing the talents and experience our staff bring with them and supporting their continuing professional development.

Castle School is committed to the safeguarding and promotion of children’s welfare. All applicants will be subject to online checks prior to shortlisting and all appointments are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Safeguarding procedures form part of the induction process. A copy of the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is available to download from the Policies section of the school’s website.
The school will require a Certificate of Good Conduct, where applicable, from the professional regulating authority in the country in which the applicant has worked. References will be applied for prior to the interview.
Teaching Staff are eligible to join the Teachers Pension Scheme and Support Staff are eligible for the Local Government Pensions Scheme.
