In the document below you will find a selection of ideas and activities that you can do with your child during these days. You can combine the activities as you want, following your child interests, but we recommend to stick to a routine. The ideal structure of the day will be as follows:
1) Clever fingers and Hello Song
2) Morning activities
3) Snack and free time
4) Bucket time
5) Lunch Song and lunch
6) Afternoon activities and play.
In Ladybirds, we find that it is better to complete the more formal learning tasks before lunchtime, e.g. Clever Fingers, Maths, Mark Making , Story Time etc and, in the afternoon, we focus on the more relaxed activities such as Messy play, Music and Physical Activities.
The ideal duration for each activity is between 10 and 15 minutes; however, if your child is engaged and enjoying you could extend it as much as you want.
