At Castle, we think that it is very important that our pupils develop a strong set of values and principles, and that they are supported to question and understand what it means to grow up in British society. Through our curricular studies and extra curricular experiences we invite pupils to reflect upon their role in a diverse multicultural and multi faith society.
Thought for the week, which cross references to the four areas of British values, provides a rich resource which links lesson content, pastoral support and provides a platform for our assemblies.
Each class highlights how they are responding to British values using display and class/ tutor time planning.
Values such as sharing, taking care of each other and making the right choices are all part of our school ethos, and clearly reflect the spirit of British values.
Please see below an example of our work.
