Maternity Cover Swimming Instructor
We are looking for a temporary swimming instructor to cover the maternity leave of the current post holder, who is due to start maternity leave on 13th May 2023. Ideally, we would appoint prior to the maternity leave starting, to allow for an effective handover.
The job holder will contribute to developing a therapeutic approach to learning and raising the standards of achievements for all pupils whilst promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons they are responsible for, or come into contact with. Ideally you will have experience of developing individual swimming or hydrotherapy programmes and risk assessments for students; planning and preparing stimulating and engaging lessons; assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ development; completing routine safety checks to comply with statutory regulations and supporting swimming pool operating procedures. The working hours will be:
Monday: 8:45 am to 3:45pm/5:00 pm on alternate weeks
Tuesday: 8:45 am to 4:30pm
Wednesday to Friday: 8:45 am to 3:45 pm
Term-time plus 3 training days
