Castle School is an Area Special School in Cambridge serving 220 pupils with special needs ranging from 4 to 19 years of age. It takes a big team to support our students and their families. Around 150 staff work at Castle School: we are teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, caretakers and administrators.

About this Role

The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and nurturing individual to continue to develop the pastoral offer throughout the School. We pride ourselves on building and establishing positive relationships with all pupils and their parents/carers. We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to work to drive this commitment and to work with our whole school and inclusion team to continue to enhance our pastoral and safeguarding provision, as well as strengthen our offer to families, enabling pupils to thrive in school.
