Castle School is an Area Special School in Cambridge serving 220 pupils with special needs ranging from 4 to 19 years of age. It takes a big team to support our students and their families. Around 150 staff work at Castle School: we are teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, caretakers and administrators.
An exciting opportunity for a level 4 communication support TA in a special school to implement therapy programs for students with communication needs, under the supervision of a therapist, by creating resources, running individual or group sessions, teachers and families, liaising with a multidisciplinary team, maintaining records and managing administrative tasks to support pupils with speech, language, communication challenges and help them achieve their learning potential. They will also be responsible for working with staff to ensure good communication strategies are embedded in an ongoing way.
