School Admission

The decision regarding which school your child should attend is a big one for the whole family.

At Castle we welcome visits from families (including siblings and extended family members) to see our school in operation.

If you would like to visit, and your child has (or is the process of being assessed for) an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), please contact the school office on 01223 442400 or email Office@castle.cambs.sch.uk to make an appointment.

During your visit you will usually be shown around by the Assistant Head of the appropriate department (Primary, Secondary or Sixth Form) and you will meet with staff, pupils and the Headteacher. There will be opportunity to ask any questions you have and to consider if Castle can meet your child’s needs.

If you decide to move forward (and we have space) the next step would be to discuss this with the Student Assessment Team in Huntingdon. Our Casework Officer is Diane Jackson. The contact details for the team are given below.

The Local Authority will prepare the appropriate paperwork for your child’s admission and agree a start date with yourself and school. Transport will be also considered, where appropriate.

Please do contact us if you would like further information.
