Safeguarding
Safeguarding at Castle School
At Castle School, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where all our pupils feel valued, protected and able to learn.
We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people. Our staff are trained to identify signs of abuse, neglect or exploitation, and to take prompt, appropriate action when concerns arise. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility—and we take that responsibility seriously.
Our Approach
Safeguarding at Castle School is proactive, embedded into daily practice, and constantly reviewed. We work in close partnership with families, external agencies, and other professionals to provide the best possible support for every child.
We are especially mindful of the additional vulnerabilities some of our pupils may face, and we tailor our safeguarding practices to meet individual needs, including the use of clear communication systems, consistent routines and safe environments.
Safeguarding Adults (18+ Students)
Click here to view the multi-agency policy that has been compiled by the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Safeguarding Adults Board. Its purpose is to enable all agencies to achieve consistent and robust arrangements for safeguarding people aged 18+ with care and support needs and to implement effective safeguarding plans which minimise risk of harm and adopt a zero tolerance approach to abuse and neglect.
