Castle career journeys
Meet some of our staff who have used their time at Castle to progress their careers and meet their own learning goals. If you'd like to join them, take a look at our vacancies on the right.
"I joined Castle School over 10 years ago now, as a midday supervisor. It was my first time working in a school environment. I quickly gained confidence with all the support and experience I gained. And after feeling truly inspired by watching all the teachers and teaching assistants' amazing work with our fantastic students for 7 years, I applied to be a teaching assistant. After being in a level 2 position for 2 years I applied for a level 3 role - I'm currently in my 3rd year.
I really do love my job. We really are an amazing group of people who put all our students' needs first before anything. A true family environment. I look forward to many more years at Castle. It's a true privilege."
"I started off as an apprentice at Castle School, completing a Level 2 Teaching and Learning qualification. Shortly after completing my apprenticeship, I was promoted to a Level 3 teaching assistant post, and have done this role for the last two years, while doing a part-time distance learning degree in Early Years and Playwork. I have thoroughly enjoyed the learning experiences I have had at Castle, and the opportunities I have had to grow and develop professionally during my time here. Castle school is a truly magical place with wonderful children and staff.
I am moving onto a new adventure within the NHS as a children's physio and OT assistant in the community. Castle has given me the experience and confidence to go for this role and I am excited for what the future holds for me."
